We have worked very closely with our local community, service users, and partner organisations over recent months, to make sure that as many people as possible were involved and had their say in developing our plans. On Friday 28th November NHS Tameside and Glossop had a "panel day" during which our strategic five year "commissioning" plan was examined in detail by external experts. This was the culmination of months of preparation across the organisation.
The day itself went very well, below is the feedback received from the day.

Representatives from the Strategic Health Authority, other PCTs, the leader of a local council and Kaiser (A group of Management Consultants) will be visiting us at New Century House on 28th November. They will be conducting a series of indepth interviews with our Board to ensure they know our strategy inside and out and are ready for the challenge of leading us forward to achieve our goal of 'World Class Commissioner' within the next five years.
Panel Members

We have been shortlisted for the Independent Project of the Year Award at the 1st Annual Lean Healthcare Academy Exhibition and Awards. The shortlisted entry is in recognition of the work done by the Transfer Team based at Tameside General Hospital. Their work in streamlining the way the service operates means that far more patients are seen prior to their discharge and receive the support they need. This reflects WCC in the way it brings about more effective and efficient ways of working.
If so we welcome your comments in our urgent care forum.
